I currently work as a Hydrologic Technician with the Biogeochemistry Group (BGC) in the CAWSC. BGC primarily works in the San Francisco Bay-Delta region, where we operate a network of ~20 continuous water quality monitoring sites, perform wide-area high-speed water quality mapping surveys, and run additional projects.
Our research aims to understand linkages between anthropogenic inputs, landscape-scale drivers, water quality, habitat quality, and whole ecosystem function in ways that inform managers and policy makers.
I perform external lab evaluations (LEPs), guide datasets from processing to publication via Data Releases, approve and audit continuous water quality records, serve as an Aquarius LDM, and dabble in fire impacts on water quality. I started with the USGS in the Charleston, SC office of the SAWSC in 2018, where I managed a large water quality and surface water field trip, and served as an LDM.
