Alyssa began her career with the USGS VA/WV WSC as a student intern in 2007 and returned as a hydrologic technician in 2013. She has always had an interest and focus on water-quality, including continuous monitoring and discrete sample collection. Alyssa led database efforts for VA with QWDATA and continues to assist with AQSamples today. In 2020, she became the field office chief of the Watershed Monitoring Section.
