Worked for the State of California as a Safety Specialist with the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Employment Development Department for five years. Has been with the Survey since 2004 as Regional Safety Manager. B.S. degree from CSU Sacramento. Nationally Registered Wilderness EMT and certified as a Coast Guard Medical Person in Charge and Prehospital Trauma Life Support. Specialize in wilderness first aid and survival, field safety, and emergency planning.. As the Regional Safety Manager, Eric oversees the safety programs throughout the USGS Southwest Region.
